This place is absolutely mind-blowing! The location is super strategic, just a few minutes away from the main train station. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist you. The breakfast at the in-house restaurant is a must-try, no need to go outside. The capsule rooms are spacious and equipped with a brand new flat-screen TV, ample cupboard space, sockets, and mood lighting. The onsen/sauna area is stunning, and the lounge is a true gem. It's so spacious and divided into a pristine eating area and a cozy relaxation zone with manga and comfy seats. The whole place is incredibly clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom with its open space concept adds a unique touch of naturalistic freedom. The staff here is unbeatable, always polite and accommodating. They have thought of everything you might need, from personal hygiene supplies to slippers and hair straighteners. Plus, they even lend you umbrellas if it rains. The location is perfect, just a short walk away from the train station and there are great restaurants nearby. Plus, there's free Wi-Fi, and the rooms have air conditioning. This place is simply jaw-dropping!

I had a great stay at Smart Stay! The capsule room was comfortable and even had a fan inside. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the main station. The facilities were new and everything I needed was provided, including a small cupboard for important bags. The communal bath was spacious and divided between men and women. The staff were kind and some of the female staff were super cute. I also appreciated not having to check in and out every day.
I highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is perfect, just a few minutes from the main train station. It's in a lively area, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We had a great view from our room and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. the staff was very friendly and helpful, providing us with everything we needed, from towels to hair straighteners. We especially enjoyed the cozy lounge with massage chairs.
The breakfast could have been better, as it seemed a bit limited towards closing time.

The location of the hotel was great. It was only a 5 to 8 minute walk from the train station and a big bus station, which made it really convenient for getting around Kyoto. the traditional-style baths in the hotel were a nice touch. the hot tubs were a great way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the city.
One of the main negatives was the noise level in my capsule. I was unfortunate enough to be placed near the washroom and entrance, which meant I had to endure the sound of sliding doors throughout the night.

Nothing, it is perfect.

The lounge at Smart Stay Shizuku Kyoto Ekimae was a cozy haven, with spacious and comfortable seating. It provided a relaxing atmosphere and even had a dedicated area for ladies. The shared bathroom with its open space design was unique and offered a sense of naturalistic freedom. The cleanliness and comfort of the hostel were evident from the moment I entered, and the location was great for exploring the city. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I would recommend this hostel to others.
